If all class level permissions are turned off, will that protect objects that have ACLs of public read and write from being retrieved or modified?
By default, CLP’s are set to
Public Write. As CLPs take precedence, disabling these modes means that the ACLs would be ignored. For example, if you turned off
Public Read in the CLP and had no other roles set to read. You would always receive a permissions error on that class.
There is a wealth of information about this topic in the docs: http://docs.parseplatform.org/ios/guide/#object-level-access-control
Hope it helps.
