Why do we launch a newsletter?
Your vote shapes the future of the project
We currently have no single channel to reach out to the whole community. This is important for us when making decisions, because we want them to reflect what YOU and the broader community thinks. In current polls, there may be only 10-20 people voting on a decision that affects the whole community. We want to increase that number to make polls more representative.
Stay informed about community developments
We want you to know what’s going on in this project and the broader community. We have many exceptional community members who put in their time and effort to keep this project running and continuously developing. Some of the contributions are obvious, and others maybe not be so obvious, but are no less important. There are also great initiatives that are not related to coding, showing the amazing diversity and engagement in our community.
Know about planned and newly available features
Parse Server receives exciting new features, almost on a weekly basis. We want you to know what these feature are and their benefits, going beyond a simply changelog one-liner. When you know which features are in the pipeline, you can also better plan ahead with features you may want to plan for your own app.
We promise, we won’t spam you.
We plan to send out not more than 1 email per month, unless there is a poll for an urgent decision or a security issue we want you to know. Depending on your feedback and the reception in the community, we may also send out fewer emails or offer you an option to choose the frequency of receiving a newsletter, like every month or every 3 months, etc.
