Stupid Question about EXAMPLE

Hi All
Probably a stupid question but…
Say. I started with the EXAMPLE project and installed that and configuredd it to how I wanted .
Now I want to

1- add a Email adaptor
2- add a file adaptor
3- change some UI code on Dashboard
4- pull the latest server / dashboard from git

Are those possible and how would I do it?
OR
is it better to just use
API and
DASHBOARD
seperate ?

All of these should be possible probably installing new packages/updating the package.json of your example project.
